Punjab Rozgar scheme has been launched by the Chief Minister Punjab, Usman Buzdar which is supposed to help the people who looking for a business startup resource.
In the form of soft loans, a total of 30 billion will be distributed among the needy men, women, the trans community and the ones who are differently abled.
People who are looking for ways to start new business or the ones hit hard by the pandemic situation are among those who will be benefited by this scheme. In this manner, new job opportunities will be created as well.
A portal has been set up by the government where the interested candidates can visit and apply online with ease.
In some districts of Punjab, the government is also working on providing 0.4-0.5 million to start the process of restoring the cottage industry.
Criteria
There is a specific criterion which needs to be met if someone is wishing to apply for the loan. Men, women, transgenders and differently abled will be able to apply if they currently own a business or have a proper plan infornt of them regarding their startup, or if they are entrepreneur working alongside some efficient investors.
