The research published just today emphasizing on prevention of severe Covid and death, not infection observed 22 million people above 50 and discovered that those who had received shots were 90% less likely to be hospitalized or lose their lives to virus.

The results rechecked observations from the US, the UK and Israel, but researchers say it is the largest study regarding this matter till now.

Seeing the data collected starting in December 2020, when France launched its vaccine shot campaign, the researchers matched the outcomes of 11 million vaccinated people with 11 million unvaccinated ones.

They created pairs matching an unvaccinated individual with a vaccinated corresponding person from the same locality and of the same age and sex, observing them from the date of the vaccinated person´s second shot to July 20.
