Center of research and security studies (CRSS) submitted an annual security report that in a total of 361 incidents 600 fatalities were related to violence in the year 2020, in comparison to 2019 there has been a 12%decline in the violence rate.
Previous year, the former FATA region, which was combined with KP in May 2018, observed the most deaths, after that it was Baluchistan and KP.
Former FATA area logged 191 violence-related fatalities during 2020,there was a 63.2% surge from 2019.
Whereas, Baluchistan recorded a number of 138 deaths and KP reported 122 fatalities in 2020 contrary to the 226 and 148 of 2019 respectively.
Both Sindh and Punjab documented a drop in violence-related death toll in 2020 as well. Meanwhile, Islamabad and Gilgit Baltistan recorded an escalation in death toll last year. No death was seen to be observed in Azad Jammu Kashmir in 2020.
