Does Apple’s latest update resolve the overheating problem?
In order to address an overheating issue with its newest iPhones, Apple just released an upgrade to its iOS 17 operating system. However, early testing on the iPhone 15 reveals that the newly released software does not demonstrate any performance gains.
The earliest user reviews of the iPhone 15 were unusual to read just an hour after the software was made available, since several customers complained that the software upgrade caused their phones to become extremely hot.
As time went on, it became clear that not all iPhone 15 customers were experiencing heat issues and that they did not represent a majority.
There are, however, some people who actually experience the heating issue, and there was a minor incident involving a member of their staff in the beginning that was later rectified.
The situation continued to be blown out of proportion on social media platforms due to the awful nature of the internet, but Apple waited and decided to respond on September 30, blaming the heating problem on Instagram and other third-party applications, while a bug in iOS 17.0.2 made it worse.
Apple pledged to fix the problem by releasing an iOS patch.
The AppleInsider team upgraded various phones with the new patch and ran the benchmark test numerous times after the new iOS version became available yesterday (Wednesday) at noon. However, the early investigations revealed little to no fluctuation.
It is important to note that while batteries are charging, computing devices will become hot. This is a phenomenon caused by the laws of physics and chemistry, but the AppleInsider team thought that the iPhone might have stronger cooling systems for long-term performance.
