Cybercrime is a serious issue in this era and to help in reducing the risk of such activities, social media platform Facebook has landed on an agreement to provide data to the relevant Pakistani authorities for the purpose of investigation.
The agreement has been signed between Facebook’s authorities and the Federal investigation agency (FIA) that they will be sharing data with them so that they can bring progress in the investigation process related to cybercrimes.
Now the authorities will be able to dig out the required data when needed during any investigation involving cybercrimes.
Before this agreement, FIA wasn’t able to get data out of Facebook and this was among the major reasons that led to many cases stay unresolved till date.
With this agreement, there is a ray of hope that there will be progress investigation and reduction in crime rates.
