Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has stated that the government had landed a huge success in tracing the base of attackers behind the Gwadar and Quetta terrorist instances.
Talking at a press conference here, he has stated that the suicide bombers involved in the Gwadar attack that took place on August 20 and another blast aiming an FC convoy on Mastung Road in Quetta, had been recognized adding that they had arrived from Afghanistan, reports APP.
He said two boys were found to be dead while four others, including a Chinese national, faced injuries when a suicide bomber blew himself up aiming a vehicle taking Chinese nationals in Gwadar, while four people lost their lives and 20 were injured on Sunday in a bombing attack near the FC check post.
Responding to a question, he said the Taliban’s wish to become a part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project was a progressive sign. “CPEC is the jugular vein of Pakistan, and the friendship between Pakistan and China is higher than the Himalayas,” he said.
