Previous US President George W. Bush gave a political advice to Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey as he gets thoughtful about walking down the path of politics.
During an interview on Today with Hoda & Jenna, the Republican was questioned of his outlook about the Interstellar star’s probable run for Texas governor after it was recently made public in early elections that he was ahead of present Governor Greg Abbott.
Georgw Bush’s daughter Jenna Bush Hager who cohosts the show, staed that McConaughey “is making headlines down in Texas, dad.”
“I read that, Matthew, yeah,” Bush replied.
The show’s cohost Hoda Kotb got into the chat and staed: “And he’s actually ahead of Governor Abbott in the polls in this moment. So what do you think?”
Bush replied: “I have no idea. It’s a tough business.”
“If you’ve been president for eight years, the American people get to the point and they say, ‘surely we can do better than this fool.’ Then all of a sudden life gets in perspective,” he remarked, observing how his own appreciation ratings have also moved up since he left office.
