Monday saw a reduction of Rs. 1,100 per tola in the gold rates in Pakistan as a new week began.
The cost of gold (24 carats) decreased by Rs. 1,100 per tola to Rs. 221,700, while the price of 10 grammes dropped by Rs. 943 to settle at Rs. 190,072, in accordance with information provided by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
US gold futures fell by 0.3% to $1,969.70 while spot gold fell by 0.4 per cent to $1,934.89 per ounce on the global market.
It is important to note that the cost of valuable metals in Pakistan decreased by Rs. 1,900 per tola over the past week. The price of gold is currently considerably lower than the record high of Rs. 240,000 per tola set previously in early May.
