Google has officially rolled out Google Wallet in Pakistan, enhancing the digital payments ecosystem with contactless payments, online transactions, and in-app purchases.

The service integrates with local banks, allowing users to make fast and secure transactions.

How to set up Google Wallet in Pakistan:

Setting up Google Wallet is simple:

  • Download the Google Wallet app from the Google Play Store.
  • If you have a linked debit or credit card, it will automatically appear in your wallet.
  • Tap “Add a card” to manually add a new one.
  • Follow the verification process to tokenize your card.
  • Once added, you can use your phone for contactless and online payments.

  • Online Retailers: Onic, Gul Ahmed, Sana Safinaz, J., KE (via PayFast)
  • Airlines: Batik Air, Thai Airways (for digital boarding passes)
  • Merchants: Expanding through Safepay’s platform for contactless in-store payments

With upcoming integrations, more banks and merchants will join Google Wallet, making digital payments in Pakistan safer, easier, and widely accessible.
