Google will provide 5 lakh “Chromebooks” for Pakistani students

Islamabad (Monitoring Desk) A partnership has been announced between the Ministry of Education and Google to provide access to education to millions of Pakistani students.

 According to Daily Pakistan Global, under this partnership of the Federal Ministry of Education and Google for Education, smart classrooms will be established in Pakistan through which the digital ecosystem for students will be improved.
The agreement between Google and the Ministry of Education will focus on providing access to education for out-of-school children. According to the report, last month, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Shahbaz Sharif declared an ‘educational emergency’ regarding more than 260 lakh children who do not go to school. 
In this regard, the Prime Minister of Pakistan had a meeting with a high-level delegation of Google for Education, in which the Federal Ministry of Education and Google for Education jointly established smart classrooms in Pakistan and developed a healthy educational ecosystem. It was talked about. Under this partnership, Google through its education partner ‘Tech Valley’ will locally assemble over 5 lakh Chromebooks in Pakistan by 2026, providing digital tools to students and teachers.
