For the next two weeks, the federal government acting as a caretaker will lower the price of petroleum items.

While high-speed diesel has seen a price reduction of Rs. 6.47 per litre, the price of gasoline has decreased by Rs. 2.04 per litre. The new cost of high-speed diesel would be Rs. 296.71, while the new cost of petrol would be Rs. 281.34.

Additionally, the government has lowered the cost of light diesel oil to Rs. 180.45 and kerosene to Rs. 204.98 per litre, respectively. Kerosene’s price was lowered by Rs. 6.05 per litre. The revised rates will go into effect on November 16.

It is important to note that the administration likewise left the prices steady during the most recent biweekly review of petroleum pricing.

The country’s petroleum costs are mostly determined by two factors: the currency rate and the price of oil internationally. International oil prices have dropped since November began, but over the same month, the Pakistani rupee lost 2.31 percent of its value relative to the US dollar.
