According to reports cited by ARY News on Thursday, Pakistan is likely to continue the sponsorship program for Hajj 2024 to reduce the stress of raising money. The sponsorship program requires a Pakistani passport in order to be eligible for benefits, and the cost of the Hajj will be collected in terms of
10,000 individuals, according to sources in the Pakistani Religious Ministry, would be able to go to Mecca in 2024 thanks to the funding program. The scheme’s participants will not be subject to voting.
According to the sources, Pakistan’s Hajj quota for 2024 is 179,201, of which 50% are reserved through a government program and 50% through a private plan.
According to authorities at the Religious Ministry, Pakistanis can now conduct the Hajj for up to 20 to 25 days for the first time.
They stated that the federal cabinet has received the draft of the Hajj 2024 policy and is expected to adopt it shortly.
Aneeq Ahmed, the caretaker minister for religious affairs and interfaith harmony, had earlier said that the government of Saudi Arabia will offer better services and more facilities to Pakistani pilgrims during the Hajj in 2024.
He said that providing pilgrims with a more cozy and practical experience would enhance their lodging, food, and transportation options.
