Here’s How Pakistan Can Reach the Asia Cup Final in 2023

After India advanced to the final by defeating Pakistan and Sri Lanka in their opening two games of the Super 4s stage, the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 has entered an intriguing stage.

The Men in Blue beat Pakistan by 228 runs in their opening Super 4s match before defeating Sri Lanka by 41 runs to advance to the championship game.

After losing to Sri Lanka by 21 runs and Pakistan by seven wickets, Bangladesh’s chances of making it to the championship game are over.

The fates of Pakistan and Sri Lanka will now be decided in their final Super 4s stage match, with India in the final and Bangladesh out of the running.

The winner of the upcoming match, which is scheduled for September 14, will go on to play India, led by Rohit Sharma, in the championship game on September 17.

However, the ongoing wet season in Sri Lanka, especially in Colombo, has produced a different scenario for the opportunity to play in the championship game.

Since Sri Lanka’s net run rate is higher than Babar Azam’s team’s, they will advance to the final if the rain cancels the match between the former champions.

Three of Pakistan’s players, including key pacers Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf, have been ruled out due to injuries sustained in the most recent game, dealing the team a severe blow before the crucial match.
