Following the decline in the value of the US dollar relative to the Pakistani rupee, Honda has decided to lower the cost of its vehicles by up to Rs. 300,000.
The automaker said in a statement on Wednesday that it will be lowering the cost of the Civic RS1.5L, its most costly vehicle, by Rs. 300,000. In a similar vein, the City MT 1.2L, the company’s least expensive car in Pakistan, now costs Rs. 100,000 less.
Following the price reduction, here are the new and old prices:

Following Toyota Indus Motor Company, MG Motors, and Kia Lucky Motors in price reductions comes Honda. Toyota reported price reductions of up to Rs. 1.3 million, MG Essence saw a price cut of up to Rs. 600,000, and KIA revealed price reductions of up to Rs. 500,000.
Conversely, inventory shortages have negatively impacted vehicle makers’ production. Toyota, Suzuki, and Honda all halted manufacturing in October 2023, giving the previously stated explanation. All of them are scheduled to start production in November, but if these problems continue, they may prolong facility closures.
