Prime Minister of Law Nazir Tarar, while reacting to the report of the United Nations Working Group on the arrest and pending cases of Imran Khan, called it an internal matter of Pakistan.
Azam Nazir Tarar said that as an independent state in Pakistan, the constitution and prevailing laws are implemented through the courts, any demand beyond the constitution, law and international norms will be called discriminatory, biased and against justice. The Law Minister said that Imran Khan is in jail as a convicted prisoner, he has all the rights according to the country’s constitution and law and international norms. It should be remembered that the United Nations Human Rights Working Group had declared the decision to detain the PTI founder as arbitrary and against international law.
