Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has paid tribute to all heroes “who fought for Pakistan’s territorial integrity and independence” while he is being held in Attock Jail in connection with the cypher case.
As Pakistan observes Defence and Martyrs’ Day today (Wednesday), the PTI released the party chief’s message.

This yearly commemoration, which takes place on September 6th, honours the day in 1965 when Indian troops crossed the international border to attack Pakistan’s eastern Punjab province.
