The hybrid plan put forth by the PCB has been accepted by the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Jay Shah, who has committed to taking part in the 2023 Asia Cup.

The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host four of the mega event’s matches, while a neutral location will host the other matches, claims media reports.

This choice was made after the PCB was able to win the support of the Asian teams for their suggested strategy for hosting the tournament utilizing the hybrid plan.

It was revealed last week that the cricket board’s hybrid model has already received confirmations from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Nepal.

The BCCI has, however, added a requirement to their acceptance of the proposal because they need a written guarantee from Pakistan about their trip to India for the 2023 World Cup.

Under the hybrid model, PCB has provided two choices. In the first scenario, a neutral site would be chosen for India’s matches. while Pakistan would host all other matches.

The second strategy calls for splitting the matches into two parts.  According to this plan,  the first phase would take place in Pakistan With the exception of India, and the second would happen in the United Arab Emirates.
