Instagram has a list of features planned for release, much like WhatsApp. Aside from the main generative AI capabilities, the app is also developing some minor enhancements, including an upgrade to Stories and a camera shortcut for Samsung phones.

Instagram story creator Alessandro Paluzzi, a tipster, has revealed the existence of a new feature named “My Week.” This allows content providers to post their tales online for a whole week, as the name suggests. Throughout the week, you may use this to covertly remove previous tales and post fresh ones.

Since the function is currently unavailable to the general public, it may take some time for Instagram to formally include it. This function, which lets users establish weekly reminders for events or other purposes, has a variety of uses. It is particularly helpful for regular travellers who are eager to record their experiences on the platform, and there will surely be more applications for this function in the future.

Instagram often conducts parallel testing of many features. Therefore, it may take some time until this specific feature is added to the app’s stable or beta channels. Either way, we’ll keep you informed about the feature’s progress.

Other Qualities

Recently, Meta added a number of new capabilities to its social media apps. A Threads account can now be deleted without impacting an Instagram account. Additionally, the business has introduced a paid ad-free tier for Facebook and Instagram users in the EU. To remove advertisements, European users must pay €9.99 per month for the web and €12.99 per month for iOS and Android.

The monthly costs will cover all linked Facebook and Instagram accounts of a single user through March 1, 2024. After this date, each new connected account will need an additional €6 per month for the web and €8 per month for iOS and Android in order to enjoy an ad-free experience. The ad-supported experience will still be available to users on both platforms.
