Kanye West is receiving a lot of backlash from social media when he named his new trainers after the Islamic angles.
The two new trainers were named after two Islamic angels; the angels of judgment and death. Israfil, who will blow the trumpet on the Day of Judgment and Azrafil is the angel of death.
He collaborated with Adidas in 2009 and currently named his new yeezy trainers as “Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Israfil” and “Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Asriel.”
Social media users are currently very upset with the rapper and the sports company as this collaboration is a hurtful insult to the Muslims. People are expecting them to make amends.
People are signing online petitions to ask Adidas to change the name of these two sneakers by Kanye West.
