The official authorities of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) had invited the President of Pakistan, Mr. Arif Alvi at Aiwan-e-Sadr just yesterday. Mr. Arif Malik, President KPL, Mr. Chaudhary Shahzad Akhtar, CEO of KPL, and the franchise owners and senior government officials were also present at the session.
The President said that the league will bring forward a platform for the Kashmiri youth to display their abilities on an international level, other than endorsing the area’s culture and magnificent landscape.
The President also said the significance of conducting mega sports events to endorse the local youth’s talent and give them with a stage to display and bring betterment to their skills, along with presenting a better image of Pakistan to the world.
Dr. Alvi lauded the efforts of the management of KPL and praised their excellent initiative which will help promoting sports and activities in Kashmir. He also offered the management his best wishes for the tournament to be successful.
KPL management expressed gratitude to the President for his support and informed him about the leading objective of the event, which is to assist in the matter of endorsing the cause of Kashmir and also put Kashmir on the worldwide sports map.
