Lahore Qalandars Head Coach Aqib Javed stated that the dew factor will be quite an important aspect in the coming matches of the PSL 2021.
The Qalandars will come to play against Islamabad United tomorrow as the left matches of the PSL 2021 will imitate from June 9.
The previous Pakistan pacer talked about many matters, from quarantining in times of virus, to the Qalandars’ team grouping and fitness trials.
Talking about the preparation sessions, Javed stated that the Qalandars were getting familiar with the Abu Dhabi settings. “As far as the heat is concerned, it will not have a big difference on the players. We held a couple of training sessions, they went well,” he mentioned.
He said his team was in high hopes, further mentioning that Afghan spinner Rashid Khan’s presence into the team will improve the Qalandars’ performance.
He said the team had a great setup when the initial half of the PSL 2021 was going on. However, he said as a result of the league’s delay, the setup had been affected to some extent.
“However, we will try to give our best performance,” he said. “Ferguson, Faulkner and Tim David will hopefully rise to the expectations for the team,” he further said.
“We also have Mohammad Hafeez and Fakhar Zaman in the batting line-up,” he said. “Ben Dunk always makes his presence felt in the team.”
