When three additional ships carrying imported liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) landed at Karachi port, the price of LPG experienced a stunning reduction of Rs70 per kilogramme in Pakistan.
The price of LPG has now dropped from Rs 270 per kilogramme to Rs 180 in anticipation of more decreases as the nation has enough gas stockpiled.
The Oil & Gas Development Company (OGDCL) lowered the production cost as a result of excess when the three ships arrived in Karachi.
Irfan Khokar, Chairman of the LPG Distributors Association, stated that more LPG-carrying ships are anticipated to arrive in Pakistan in the next two to three days, and he predicted more price reductions throughout the nation.
He said that the OGDCL had lowered the price in order to benefit a number of individuals.
Concurrently, it is anticipated that the federal government will declare a decrease in the cost of all petroleum products, with a possible drop of up to Rs 5 per litre starting on June 1.
According to reports in the regional press, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) suggested lowering the price of fuel by Rs 5.27 per litre.
Petrol will cost Rs267.83 instead of Rs273.10. Furthermore, it has been suggested that the cost of light-speed diesel be reduced by Rs 5 per litre and high-speed diesel by Rs 4.13 per litre.
