Conversation filters are a helpful new feature that WhatsApp has released. They are meant to make texting easier by categorising your conversation list.
There are three of these filters, and they are all arranged so that they are easily accessed above the conversation list. Each filter, aptly labelled All, Unread, and Groups, fulfils a different function.
The filter names are quite simple; by choosing “All,” you may see the entirety of all of your chats. ‘Unread’ narrows down your conversations to show you just messages that have not yet been read, regardless of when they were last marked as unread. In the meantime, viewing is limited to group chats and community subgroups when using “groups.”
According to WhatsApp, the purpose of filters is to improve the user experience by making it quick, easy, and seamless to open the app and find the appropriate chat. At the very least, the use of conversation filters ought to reduce pointless scrolling.
The global distribution of these filters is happening little by bit, and it started today. In the next few weeks, these will be accessible to all WhatsApp users.
Meta AI
This upgrade was released shortly after WhatsApp began testing its Meta AI helper for a limited number of users worldwide. Users in Pakistan, India, and a few other places seem to have access to the functions. First, smartphones running more recent versions of Android are able to access it.
Meta AI functions similarly to OpenAI’s ChatGPT, enabling you to use straightforward language commands to ask questions, create graphics, summarise text, and get code assistance. It is starting to be accessible on Facebook and Instagram, in addition to other Meta apps. It will likely take some time before it is made available to all WhatsApp users, as it is a restricted test.
