Pakistan’s biggest mobile phones market in Gulberg Lahore, Hafeez center, caught a massive fire yesterday which started around 6am in the morning and soon enough the fire had caught a major portion of the building in its premises.
The four floor building reportedly caught massive fire after a short circuit at the second floor, later around 2pm it was claimed that the fire has been brought under control.
Muraad Raas visited the affected site and posted an update stating: “At Hafeez Center Lahore right now. Just spoke to Fire Chief, he assured that the fire is under control. Also spoke with the President and assured him of complete government support for the losses that have occurred. All the effected are in my prayers.”
People were sharing images and videos of the building burning to ashes. Hafeez center is considered as country’s tech hub. With no official statement regarding the losses, it can only be estimated that the losses must be in millions and billions.
