The situation of coivd19 spread with it new strain in Unite Kingdom has made countries close off its borders with them. Amidst this, a ray of hopoe is that the leading vaccine manufacturers Moderna and Pfizer/BioNtech are currently testing their vaccines against the new strain of coronavirus that has emerged in UK.
For confirmation it could take time as much up to a month but both vaccine manufacturers have given a hopeful positive signal that their vaccine might prove to be effective against the mutated virus.
According to the official statement by Moderna, the immunity provided by the already made vaccine against coronavirus will be effective to provide immunity against the variant form of virus as well.
Similarly it was assured by the CEO of BioNtech,Ugur Sahin that the immunity of the vaccine will be effecte=ive against the new form of the virus too.
Pfizer has claimed that they have already started the observation and study on the blood samples of vaccinated people from UK so that it could be confirmed that the vaccines is effective against the mutated form of virus or not.
