ATC judge Arshad Hussain Bhatta has made the announcement regarding the judgment at Lahore’s Camp Jail where the two alleged have been taken into prison. The judgment was made known to the public while the accused and prosecution team were present there.

The alleged were also charged Rs50, 000 both.

The ATC had decided trial proceedings in the case just a few days ago after the defense finished its arguments. The alleged had sexually assaulted a Pakistan-based French woman last year while her children were present there, when her car had happened to have a fault on the motorway.

Gujjarpura police had filed the FIR No 1369/20 under sections 376, 392 and 427 of the Pakistan Penal Code and section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.

The trial included 53 witnesses, with the victim, the appellant of the FIR and the individual who informed the happening on the police emergency helpline.

The rape victim verified her statement and also recognized suspects Malhi and Ali, who admitted to have committed the crime in police supervision, but later during the hearing denied the charges.

Main suspect Malhi had also gotten his hands over Rs100,000 cash from the woman, which he mentioned to have consumed during the time he was taking cover from the police.
