Naila Kiani has become the First Pakistani Woman to Summit Annapurna in Nepal

    Naila Kiani, a renowned Pakistani mountaineer, made history by becoming the first Pakistani woman to summit the challenging Annapurna I.

    As one of a six-person team, Naila accomplished this amazing feat on the morning of Monday when she raised the national flag in Nepal at an incredible height of 8,091 meters.

    Her expedition’s planners, Seven Summit Treks, officially announced that she had reached the summit and praised her remarkable accomplishment.

    In addition, she has now successfully ascended four peaks higher than 8,000 meters, making her the first female mountaineer from Pakistan to accomplish this incredible feat.

    Prior to this accomplishment, Kiani had ascended K2, G1, and G2, demonstrating her unflinching spirit and ability to successfully scale some of the most difficult mountains.

    Naila Kiani has her sights set on climbing the fourth-tallest mountain in the world, Lhotse, which stands at 8,516 meters, and Mount Everest, the world’s highest mountain at 8,849 meters, during this historic trip to Nepal.

    She is a member of a six-person team with Shahroz Kashif and two other Pakistanis, in addition to Arjun Vajpayee from India, it should be noted.

    In recognition of her accomplishments and contributions to mountaineering, Naila, who is also a skilled boxer, received an award from the President of Pakistan in December 2021.
