The National Command and Operation Centre will soon permit the cinemas to be reopened by the end of June, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has stated today.
While talking after the cabinet meeting press conference in Islamabad, the information minister stated that the cabinet will keep a close check on the imposition of progress projects under Public Sector Development Program (PSDP).
As per the Radio Pakistan, Chaudhry said a procedure for the apt accessibility of resources for the projects will be established
He said the PSDP distribution for the following fiscal year has been agreed at Rs900 billion, “and most mega projects for Sindh will be financed from it”, said the national broadcaster.
The cabinet also gave agreement for the stormwater drain project that is included in the Karachi Transformation Plan.
Additionally, a National Cable Policy was permitted, under which digitalisation of cable will be happening which will bring betterment to the quality of broadcasting and offer access to more television channels.
He also said the government will also offer cable operators the right of buying content.
The cabinet accepted arrangements of community prosperity attache’s in seven countries. “On the complaints of overseas Pakistanis, two officers of Pakistani embassy in Saudi Arabia have been called back,” the publication mentioned.
