Punjabi authorities declared revised college hours on May 21, 2024, in order to shield pupils from the intense heat.
The Higher Education Department (HED) announced that courses will be held at a different hour owing to the extreme heat.

Rana Sikandar, the minister of education for Punjab, declared May 25–May 31 vacations for all public and private schools, with the exception of those that are still holding examinations.
The minister of education stated that private schools holding exams will be permitted to continue operating under certain restrictions, with a focus on protecting students from inclement weather.
The Punjab administration has already said that schools will be closed from June 1 to August 14.
