Javed Afridi, chairman of Peshawar Zalmi, has announced that the heroes of the recent Battagram chairlift incident will receive jobs and rewards.
Sahib Khan and his team risked their lives in the incident to free a group of schoolchildren and a teacher who were stuck on a broken chairlift in Battagram.
Javed Afridi took to Twitter to express his admiration, writing, “An incredible sense of bravery and belief. Their bravery and courage serve as a lesson to all of us.
Javed Afridi continued by saying that in their fearless efforts to save others, they not only benefited humanity but also brought the entire country feelings of joy and pride.
Afridi revealed that he has plans to give Sahib Khan and his friend jobs in appreciation for their selfless efforts on behalf of humanity, as well as a surprise reward.
Eight people, including seven students and a teacher, were rescued by the Pakistan Army and locals earlier this week after spending several hours stranded in a cable car.
Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the caretaker prime minister, praised the military personnel, rescue workers, and locals for their humanity after the operation.
The Prime Minister posted on Twitter, “Great teamwork by the military, rescue departments, district administration, as well as the local people.”
