The Italian government has enlisted Pakistan in work visa category known as ‘Decreto-Flussi’, this is supposed to allow their nationals to gain seasonal and non-seasonal work visas for the year 2020-21.
According to an official statement, the Italian authorities will be issuing more than 30,000 work visas to the nationals from a few non-EU countries, including Pakistan.
As a result of efforts made the Pakistan embassy in Rome, after a gap of two years, Pakistan has again been included in this category.
Pakistanis living in Italy had been demanding the re-inclusion of Pakistan in the category where they can attain seasonal work visas.
A major lot of Pakistani workers especially those in agriculture sector are supposed to gain employment from this scheme as the demand of these Pakistani workers are quite high in the Italian market right now.
More than 18,000 Pakistanis have applied for regularization using this scheme.
