For the convenience of the general public, Pakistan Railways has changed the schedules of two passenger trains: the Shaheen Passenger and the Allama Iqbal Express.
The updated timetable for both trains was released by a Pakistan Railways representative on Friday. The Allama Iqbal Express will now depart from Karachi Cantt at 3:30 PM rather than 2:15 PM and arrive in Sialkot at 6 PM the following day, according to the revised itinerary.
The Shaheen Passenger, which travels from Sialkot to Wazirabad, would also depart from its station one hour later than planned.
The train was scheduled to leave Sialkot at 6 p.m. earlier. Now, though, it will depart Sialkot at 7 PM and arrive in Wazirabad at 8:05 PM.
It should be recalled that Pakistan Railways released its revised winter schedule last month; it became effective on October 15. Pakistan Express (45 Up) now has a new stop at the Khairpur Railway Station, according to the management.
In addition, a number of train stops, such as Quetta Express and Allama Iqbal Express (9 Up/10 Dn), were converted from temporary to permanent. The Lodhran and Toba Tek Singh railway stations will be the stops for both trains, respectively.
