In the fourth Twenty20 International of their five-match series, Pakistan and New Zealand will play each other today, Thursday, at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Each side has won one game in the current series, with one game being cancelled due to inclement weather. The series was tied at one after Pakistan won the second game, but New Zealand bounced back with a good showing in the third.
In the second match, New Zealand was badly outplayed, losing by seven wickets with only ninety runs scored.
In the third game, though, they mounted a formidable resistance, successfully reaching the 179-run mark in just 18.2 overs. The undefeated 87 off 42 balls by Mark Chapman was a major factor in this accomplishment.
Head-to-head stats
Pakistan has a great head-to-head record in Twenty20 cricket versus New Zealand, having won 22 of the 41 games played between the two teams. Conversely, New Zealand has won eighteen games, with just one game resulting in a “no result.”
