Pakistan’s prize money for winning four matches and qualifying for the 2023 ODI World Cup’s group stage would be 73 million rupees.
Pakistan stands to gain financially from the just-ended ICC World Cup, especially after they were eliminated in the group stage. Even though the team’s tournament run came to an end, they will still be awarded a large sum of money for their efforts.
Pakistan, who have won four of the nine matches they have played, will take home a total of almost 73 million rupees. This includes a sizeable chunk of the $10 million prize fund that the International Cricket Council (ICC) has set aside.
The team will be awarded $160,000 for winning these matches, while the ICC will contribute $40,000 for each match victory. Furthermore, a total of $100,000 is allocated for their involvement in the group phase.
It’s crucial to remember that even though they left the team early, their on-field work was recognised financially. The tournament’s runner-up squad will receive $200,000, while the winners will take home $400,000.
The ICC’s prize money distribution demonstrates their dedication to celebrating the efforts and successes of the competing teams, highlighting the fact that although on-field success is crucial, support and acknowledgment are extended beyond the winner’s circle.
