Pakistan international airlines continues laying off employees and the total number of employees being sacked within the last few months have reached up to 206 and recently they gave fired 29 employees.
PIA has been firing off employees to carry out the accountability process properly. There are numerous reasons that are becoming the base for laying off employees including negligence of duty, false educational records and credentials.
The PIA human resource department clarified that the investigation process was carried out for 54 employees.. 29 out of these were found to be guilty of something of the sort that PIA had to lay them off.
Some of them were laid off for providing fake education credentials and degrees while some were fired off for not being present on duty without any notice. The laying-off process has been going on since June and since then PIA has been making sure that only the eligible and worthy employees are working with the organization.
