PIA has proposed that their debt of Rs500 billion should be taken care of by the government

As gradually the debt is gradually becoming unsustainable for PIA, the organization wants it to be taken care of by the government. Pakistan international airlines (PIA) are currently under the debt of Rs500 billion and they unable to get rid of this financial crisis on their own.

Some restructuring reforms have been submitted to the government by the organization’s management in which this proposed request has been mentioned.

The aviation division holds a certain point of view according to which they want to make PIA self-sustainable and outsourcing some other functions as well which might include the following

  • Food Services Division (FSD)
  • Technical Ground Service (TGS)
  • Base Maintenance of Engineering Department (BMED)

Speedex and Precision Engendering Complex (PEC).
