During the holy month of Ramadan, the Saudi Arabian government has prohibited doing more than one Umrah.

To reduce crowding, the authorities have reaffirmed that it is not permissible to do Umrah or other small pilgrimages in Mecca again during the month of fasting.

At the Grand Mosque, the holiest place in Islam, Ramadan signifies the height of the Umrah season. Millions of Muslims are anticipated to go to the kingdom for this reason.

Insisting that believers adhere to the limitations, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has reaffirmed that no permission is granted for doing two or more Umrahs during Ramadan.

According to the government, the purpose of the condition is to reduce traffic, allow people to do Umrah, and aid in crowd control.

The Nusuk app may be used to get Umrah permits. However, a notification stating that the permit issuance failed shows up when someone attempts to obtain one for the second time. The shorter pilgrimage cannot be performed again during Ramadan in order to allow everyone to do Umrah.

Muslims travel to Saudi Arabia during Ramadan to do Umrah and give prayers; unlike Hajj, Umrah may be done at any time of the year.

Saudi officials have implemented several precautions to facilitate worshipers’ performance of rituals and prevent any unfortunate situations in anticipation of the anticipated inflow.

To prevent congestion, the authorities have designated particular mosque gates for pilgrims’ admission and departure. The government will prepare for Hajj, which is set to start in June of this year, once the Umrah season ends. Approximately two million pilgrims are expected to arrive in Saudi Arabia during this year’s Hajj season.
