President Arif Alvi presented Coca-Cola Pakistan with an award during a ceremony today at the President’s Secretariat in this city for its long-standing efforts to empower women, particularly in underdeveloped rural areas of Pakistan.

President Alvi presented Coca-Cola Pakistan with the “Rising Women Award for Economical Impact” in honour of the company’s efforts to advance women’s empowerment and water sustainability in the nation despite numerous external obstacles.

The Women Business Network planned the Rising Women Awards ceremony, where many prominent players from the industry were present. Along with the ambassadors of Italy and Austria, other notable dignitaries, diplomats, and significant representatives of civil society all attended the ceremony.

Coca-Cola Pakistan has consistently upheld its dedication to encouraging constructive change in the areas it supports. The organisation has committed itself to addressing urgent challenges, including water scarcity and women’s economic participation, through numerous projects and collaborations.

“Rising Women Award for Economic Impact” A demonstration of Coca-Cola Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to uplifting Pakistani women and its unshakable commitment to these issues The company’s core programme, “Women and Water,” has empowered countless women across Pakistan while simultaneously promoting responsible water management practices.
The programme’s core tenet is that communities thrive when women do well. Women have been actively involved in Coca-Cola Pakistan’s water-related activities, giving them chances for skill development and entrepreneurship. The programme’s empowerment of women as business owners and water protectors has had a domino effect that benefits entire neighbourhoods.

“Pakistan’s flood devastation forced us to merge two of our three core sustainability pillars:” women and water,” according to Aisha Sarwari, Director of Public Affairs, Corporate, and Sustainability at Coca-Cola Pakistan and Afghanistan. While doing that, we also adopted innovation by using solar energy to make our water treatment facilities for communities independent of the electrical grid. This was a paradigm shift that made it possible for numerous settlements near rural areas to profit from a single plant.
The Coca-Cola system has more than 50 facilities nationwide and has served 17 million people thus far.
