PTI’s leader petitions the IHC to overturn Toshakhana’s bail suspension.

The leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister filed a petition with the Islamabad High Court on Tuesday to prevent the suspension of his interim bails in the Toshakhana and 190 million pound cases.

The accountability court cancelled the former prime minister’s interim bail in the Toshakhana and 190 million pound cases when he failed to appear on August 10.

The PTI leader has been incarcerated since August 5 as a result of his conviction in the Toshakhana case. His appeal against his conviction was denied by the Islamabad High Court.

The succinct decision was rendered by a divisional bench made up of Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri and Chief Justice Aamir Farooq of the Islamabad High Court.

In its brief decision, the IHC ordered the PTI chairman’s release on bail from Attock Jail and noted that it will later provide a comprehensive ruling outlining the reasons for the postponement of the sentence.

The accountability court’s decision against the PTI leader has been challenged by the PTI leader before the Islamabad High Court.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan is detained at Adiala Jail. Due to his inability to appear in court, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad had dismissed his bail pleas in three cases.

Judge Abul Hassan of the ATC reserved rulings in three cases after the former prime minister failed to show up for court and had his bail pleas dismissed.
