The “Excise at Your Doorstep” service was launched by the Punjab Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department in the provincial capital to provide residents with automobile registration and transfer services at their residences.

At a ceremony on Friday, Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman, along with representatives from various department offices, Commissioner Lahore Division Muhammad Ali Randhawa, DG Excise Muhammad Ali, and Punjab Excise Secretary Masood Mukhtar, launched the “Dahleez App” and “E-Registration Card.”

The Chief Secretary of Punjab stressed during his speech at the event how important it is to use technology to improve service delivery and government. He emphasized the continuous digitization initiatives being carried out by government agencies to guarantee prompt services and fight corruption, mentioning the introduction of the “Dahleez App” and the “E-Registration Card” as key milestones in this regard.

The “Excise at Your Doorstep” service was first launched in Lahore with the intention of offering residents hassle-free and easy car registration and transfer services right at their homes. In order to provide more accessibility, DG Excise Muhammad Ali presented intentions to extend the service’s coverage throughout the entire province.

As part of this new effort, people may expedite and streamline the registration procedure by making payments using online banking. To further improve convenience, owners of cars and motorcycles will benefit from the on-the-spot assignment of registration numbers.

The launch of Pakistan’s first e-title document, the “E-Registration Card,” is a noteworthy aspect of this project that signals a major shift toward a more efficient and paperless system for managing and documenting vehicles.
