The SIM cards of people not getting immunized will be banned, the Punjab government has stated today, as the country look forward to vaccinate 70 million people by the end of this year.
It was decided in a meeting presided by Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, with high-ranking civil and military authorities present there as well.
In the meeting, the officials agreed upon the decision that walk-in vaccinations would be available for people more than 18-years of age from June 12.
The provincial government will make available portable vaccination camps outside sanctuaries all over the province and will inoculate people suffering from cancer and aids on a primacy basis.
After being vaccinated, people will be able to go in cinemas, restaurants, and go to weddings.
The decision has been announced a day after the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) had clarified the starting up of the walk-in vaccination service for all citizens above 18, beginning Friday, June 11.
