The current situation going on in India has led the 69 year old Bollywood actor, Naseeruddin Shah into anaphase of disappointment as he believes that after 70 years he has now come to the realization that it is not possible for him to stay in India as a muslim.
Naseeruddin Shah has talked about it for the first time. Last year the government of India had created the controversial citizenship law.
He expressed his feeling of disappointment during an interview stating that even after 70 years of his life India, there’s still need for him to prove that not only he is a muslim but an Indian as well along with strong evidence.
He poses the question that what should he do as he has been living and working in India for 70 years. What possible more could he do prove it?
He stated that it never occurred to him and his family that it is difficult for them to stay in Indian being muslims, but as of now, it has become quite difficult to live here in this manner.
He is not worried about staying here, he is also worried about his identity as a Muslim.
