A fresh revelation has given a specific date to the rumours that Samsung would introduce the Galaxy S24 series in January, which was previously stated in leaks.
The US date of Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked announcement event is set for January 17, according to Korean news source Biz SBS. This appears to be a little later than the debut date of January 18 that tipster Ice Universe reported, although this might be related to the time difference between China and the US.
It is believed that Samsung wants to boost its earnings with the launch of the Galaxy S24 since semiconductor sales have been declining.
In addition, Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy S23 FE in South Korea on December 1 for €570. Since 2020, a Galaxy S FE model has not been offered in Samsung’s native market.
Launching with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for the Galaxy, which has higher clock speeds for more performance, comes the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. When the SoC was recently seen on Geekbench, its prime core frequency was shown to be 3.4 GHz. The remaining cluster’s frequencies were the same as previously, with two cores operating at 2.96 GHz and two at 2.27 GHz.
One version with 12 GB of RAM and one UI 6.1 OS out of the box was disclosed in the listing. An overclocked GPU is another option, although it has not been confirmed.
