Samsung has officially confirmed that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 foldable phones will launch on July 26 as previously speculated by leaks and rumours.
The rumors were confirmed when the Korean phone manufacturer revealed that the date of its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event would fall in the last week of July.
Lee Young-hee, President of the Global Marketing Centre for Samsung DX, announced that the launch event would be taking place in Seoul, South Korea. Although the precise event location was initially kept secret, a recent press note by Samsung confirms it would be COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam.
Since hosting its first Unpacked event in 2010 in Las Vegas, Samsung has expanded the keynote’s global reach to important cities like London, Berlin, New York, and Barcelona.
A change in strategy for the introduction of their foldable devices is indicated by the choice to hold the following Unpacked event in Seoul. Samsung wants to concentrate on various globally influential cultural cities that closely resemble the event’s chosen theme.
Due to Seoul’s “significant influence on worldwide trends, dynamic culture, and innovation,” Samsung decided to hold its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event there. Additionally, Samsung’s decision is a testament to its conviction and confidence in the foldable device market.
Samsung hasn’t released the exact names of the products that will be unveiled at the event, but it has said that the event will be centred around its next-generation foldables, which we are all familiar with.
