The Punjab Police detained PTI activist Sanam Javaid Khan and others shortly after they were freed from Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail on Monday.
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) granted bail to Sanam and other PTI women last week in the case involving the May 9 arson attacks. Following the announcement of the conviction, ATC judge Arshad Javed granted bail to nine of the accused, including Sanam.
PTI activists Sanam Javed Khan, Robina Jameel, Afshan Tariq, Ashma Shuja, Shah Bano, Faisal Akhtar, Qasim, Ali Hasan, and Hussain Qadri all had their bail requests granted by the court.
The bail requests were granted in exchange for surety bonds totaling Rs. 100,000 each.
