Sanam Javaid and Muhammad Tanveer, two activists for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), were granted bail by an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday. The case concerns an alleged attack on the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) office.

The case was decided by ATC Judge Arshad Javaid Chadhar’s ruling.

The defence attorney claimed in court that Sanam Javaid was connected to the crime six months later. Rejecting the bail, Deputy Prosecutor Abdul Jabbar Dogar asked, citing the charges of stirring up public discontent against Sanam.

Nonetheless, Muhammad Tanveer and Sanam Javaid were given bail by the judge.

Remarkably, Sanam Javaid, a PTI employee, was the target of a complaint brought by the Model Town police for allegedly setting fire to the Muslim League-N office.

Sanam Javaid was then taken into custody in a different matter that was reported to the Shadman police station.

According to the police, Sanam Javaid was detained by the investigating authorities after being found in relation to a terrorism case. Sanam Javaid would be taken to the Shadman police station to face additional legal action.
