PM Imran Khan has said that he supports chemical castration or surgical procedure as a punishment for those who commit a heinous crime as rape. This punishment will be sign of warning for those who even think of committing such a crime.
He talked about this during an interview with a private news channel and said that according to the castration is carried out in many other countries as well. A rapist should be punished in this manner.
In the case murder, there would be grading in this matter in a way that it should be classified on the basis of first degree, second degree and third degree.
He said: “And, those who are in first degree, they should be castrated and operated upon to disable them to repeat such crime in future,”
Public had been waiting for a response from PM regarding the punishment of rapists after the soul shaking incident of motorway where a mother was gang raped in front of her children.
There had been protests going on in different parts of country to demand a proper punishment for those who commit the crime of sexual assault.
After this statement by the PM, public is hopeful that justice might be served after all.
