Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood declared one more time that the government will conduct exams as it fears that if the government decides to ot take any examination then the students will be relaxed and won’t work or show any effort.

“If we do not conduct the exams, then students will not even put in the minimum efforts to study,” said the federal minister during a media talk in Islamabad.

He said that students of tenth and ninth across the country would be evaluated on the base of non-compulsory subjects and math this year.

He held the press conference after he led a meeting of provincial education ministers and representatives from the education departments, as per the education ministry.

“No student would be awarded grades without attempting examinations this year,” the education minister clarified.

Intermediate students will be given their results on the base of only elective subjects, said Mehmood. “This decision will make the examination process easier for students.”

The education minister stated that boards were formulating ways to hold exams from June 24, and now, to help students, we have suggested them to initiate examinations after July 10.
