Protests by students have been going on across the country for a few days now. They are protesting against the physical examination and demanding that the exams should be held online rather, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood has given out his statement to clarify the government’s stance regarding the matter.
Students from different cities including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar were protesting against universities conducting physical examination as they believed that they had attended classes online so the examinations after those classes should be held online as well. After all the protests, Shafqat Mehmood posted a tweet regarding online exams stating that: Some university students are demanding that their exams should be online as they have been studying online. This is a decision for the universities to make but I have asked HEC to consult VCs and see if it is possible given special circumstances this year
