Shahid Afridi, the former captain of the national team, has expressed his surprise at the removal of Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq from the selection committee.
According to the details, Shahid Afridi, a member of the Pakistani team participating in the World Championship of Legends tournament, while talking to the media after the match against South Africa, said that no captain in the history of Pakistan got as many opportunities as Babar Azam got, otherwise it is our tradition. The removal of Razzak and Wahab from the selection committee, the former cricketer said, was a move which was termed as a “surgery”. Honestly, this surgery is beyond my understanding. The statement issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that former cricketers Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq have been removed from the selection committee, now their services are not needed for the national team. He was a member of the Men’s Selection Committee during the Land and England tour.
On the other hand, no statement has been issued regarding the future of the other three members of the selection committee, Muhammad Yousuf, Asad Shafiq and Bilal Afzal, on which questions are being raised.
